Wiz is an Israeli-American cloud security company founded in January 2020. In March 2025, Google announced an all-cash acquisition of Wiz for $32 billion, the largest cybersecurity acquisition of all time, which closed in Q3 2025. Wiz now operates under Google Cloud. The company’s agentless platform provides comprehensive security visibility across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes environments.
Platform Overview
Wiz Security Platform connects via cloud APIs to provide full visibility without deploying agents.
For cloud security posture management, the platform provides continuous configuration assessment against CIS benchmarks and custom policies, compliance monitoring for SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, and more, plus drift detection and remediation workflows.
Cloud workload protection includes agentless vulnerability scanning for VMs, containers, and serverless workloads. It can detect malware and secrets without deploying agents and provides runtime threat detection via cloud-native telemetry.
Cloud infrastructure entitlement management handles identity and access analysis across cloud accounts, provides least privilege recommendations, and visualizes cross-account access paths.
Attack path analysis gives graphical visualization of exploitable attack paths, risk prioritization based on actual exposure, and correlation of vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and identities.

Before the Google acquisition, Wiz raised over $1.9 billion. The Series E in May 2024 brought in $1 billion at a $12 billion valuation. Series D in 2022 raised $300 million at $10 billion.
