CyberArk Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CYBR) is the market leader in privileged access management (PAM) and a major identity security platform. In September 2025, the FTC cleared Palo Alto Networks’ proposed $25 billion acquisition of CyberArk. If completed, this would be one of the largest cybersecurity acquisitions ever, folding identity security into Palo Alto’s platform play. The deal is expected to close in the second half of FY2026.
Identity Security Platform
Privileged Access Manager is CyberArk’s flagship product. It secures, rotates, and monitors privileged credentials across on-premises and cloud infrastructure, providing session recording, threat analytics, and automated credential rotation for human and machine identities.
Endpoint Privilege Manager removes local admin rights from endpoints while enabling users to elevate privileges on demand for approved applications. This reduces the attack surface without impacting productivity.
Secrets Manager provides centralized secrets management for DevOps and cloud-native environments. It integrates with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms to eliminate hardcoded credentials.
The Identity product covers single sign-on, adaptive MFA, and lifecycle management for workforce and customer identities. CyberArk expanded this capability through its 2024 acquisition of Venafi for $1.5 billion, adding machine identity and certificate lifecycle management.
Secure Browser is an enterprise browser that provides session isolation, credential protection, and secure access to web applications without VPN.
Financials
FY2024 revenue reached $1.0 billion with 31% year-over-year growth. Total ARR is $1.17 billion. The company serves more than 9,000 customers globally.
CyberArk has been transitioning from perpetual licensing to a SaaS subscription model, driving strong ARR growth.
